This week’s guest is Randall McDaniel. Regarded as one of the NFL’s finest offensive lineman during his 14-year career. Randall was a fixture at left guard who was named to an NFL-record 12 consecutive Pro Bowls (1989-2000)….Noted for his unbelievable ability to overpower any opponent with quickness and power….Made 202 consecutive starts, the second most among active players at the time of his retirement….His 220 games started are the fourth most games started by an offensive lineman….Spent his first 12 seasons (1988-1999) with the Minnesota Vikings….Holds the Viking record with 11 Pro Bowl appearances, breaking Hall of Fame DE Alan Page’s mark of 9….Blocked for five 1,000-yard rushers and four 3,000-yard passers with the Vikings….Spent his last 2 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2000-2001)….Elected to a 12th consecutive Pro Bowl as a Buccaneer….Eight-time Associated Press All-Pro selection….Additional All-Pro nods earned from Sports Illustrated (2), The Sporting News (7), USA Today (4) and Pro Football Weekly (5)….Retired February 25, 2002. In 2006, became the fifteenth person inducted into the Vikings Ring of Honor. Enshrined into the Professional Football Hall of Fame in 2009.
